5.0My husband and I had never worked with a designer before and was unsure of the process. The design included lighting and furniture for the dining, and living rooms, including bedrooms, also colors and painting of these rooms. Doreen asked us a lot of questions about our tastes, listened to my ideas and brought back a vision that was awesome! She did such a great job of ensuring the design was something that we would love. She gave me such a beautiful “home”. She worked with the furniture and pictures I had and found accessories that worked with my decor. She also came “under budget.” She was so easy to work with, had great vision and creative ideas, paid attention to detail, masterfully managed all the moving parts and ensured that we would love the results. Doreen is a true professional, super creative, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for help in designing their home. I cannot wait to work with her for future projects.

We met Doreen and Paul and knew we would have an agreeable and productive time with them! They understood what we wanted in the basement so that we could use the space as a gym and recreation area. I want to thank Sorell Interiors for making our house feel more like a home. Although I had ideas in my mind on how I wanted to decorate, I realized I needed an experts advice. Sorell Interiors was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Doreen actually listened to what was important to my wife and I when decorating our home. She was always available to speak to us and was very patient and professional. We had an entire home makeover and, using her keen eye for detail and design, we were able to get the whole project done under budget. From paint color to fabric choices, everything coordinates beautifully. We never could have imagined living in such an exquisitely decorated home. In the past, we have worked with 3 other very prominent interior designers, in our previous homes, but they just could not compare to the experience we had with Doreen and her team. I would highly recommend them to anyone and I am sure that you will be as happy as we are.

I hired Sorell Interiors for a “small” project in my billiards room which encompassed arranging and hanging about 30 framed photos, certificates, artwork etc. in an aesthetically pleasing way that made sense. Doreen and her husband, Paul, came to my house to assess what they were working with and within a few days presented me with an electronic rendering of what she had in mind. As a person who is admittedly OCD, I wanted to make some changes and Doreen was awesome during our collaboration. Did I HAVE to hire her to hang these pieces? No – but I am so glad I did. She had a great eye and Paul had a pretty neat trick I am stealing for my future picture hanging endeavors. I strongly recommend Sorell

Not all Interior Designers are created equal. That’s what makes working with Doreen of Sorell Interiors so refreshing & exciting. When I purchased my 6,000 sq ft home on the north shore of Long Island, it was a blank slate, but a blank slate stuck in the 1970’s. As the realtor said, “Lot’s of potential”. And that is exactly what Doreen extracted from its beautiful, but hidden, bones… incredible potential! I knew what I wanted, but didn’t know how to get there. Doreen was able to get me there. Starting with the living room, she listened to my words to understand my desires but then reached deep within me to connect with my soul. The result? A room beyond my wildest dreams. With her amazingly creative insight, she transformed my ideas into the modern, French-inspired salon that I now luxuriate in daily. So impressed with her talents, that I’m now having her renovate my dining room, den and five bedrooms. Her team of professionals are equally outstanding. True craftsmen who achieve the unimaginable! I can’t say enough good about Doreen and Sorell Interiors.

When my wife and I decided to redo our kitchen, dining room and living room into one great room, we knew we needed help because I like modern and she likes French Country and we didn’t know where to begin. We interviewed several decorators, including Sorell Interiors who was recommended by a friend. Upon meeting with Doreen, we knew immediately she was the one! She was easy to talk with, was affordable, understood our needs and, most importantly, had many great ideas as to how to merge our two very different styles into one beautiful and cohesive vision. She found and successfully put together pieces in ways we ourselves could never have ever imagined. She managed the entire project and was involved at every step. She even fixed problems BEFORE they occurred! AMAZING! Made it really easy for us. My wife and I are more than pleased and highly recommend Doreen and Sorell Interiors to any and everyone!
